Well, let’s see if I can get this story finished up. During her last week with us, we drove down to my parents’ house to take her to Disney World and the beach. The 8 hour ride to Sanford (just north of Orlando) went really well. She slept a couple hours and spent the rest of the time watching Barbie, Shrek and Toy Story movies on my iPhone. She thought that was the coolest thing ever! She was so good on the ride and never complained once. My only problem was trying to keep the seat belt on her. Many families had this problem as well during the six weeks. They don't have or use seat belts in Afghanistan, so the kids didn't like being strapped in at all. I probably had to tell her 10 times to put the belt back on. She kept sneaking it off... the little stinker!
