There have been so many things God has revealed to both Joe and I through Madina. I am seeing Joe in a role that I’ve only imagined how he’d be as a Dad. He is very comfortable with her as she is with him. She will even give him hugs and kisses! Joe likes to tease her and this was the way they opened communication with each other. He is very patient with her and they like to play together in the house. They’ve done tag, hide-n-seek, and tossing the big pink ball. When Madina wants to play with him, she will walk up and just throw the ball at him. Luckily nothing has broken yet. Surprisingly, she can get kind of rough. She’s not a shy girl. She is very chatty and so active! She has a big voice for such a tiny girl. She talks very loudly. She loves to sneak up on Joe and scream. She has this party favor that when Joe was sound asleep on the couch, she saw an opportune time to blow it in his face and wake him up to play. Poor Joe, coming home from Daytona, only had barely 2 hours of sleep that night and he was so good with her.
I do want to ask for prayers for Joe’s Dad. He is in final stages of Alzheimer’s Disease. Joe drove home to Michigan on Friday to spend time with his family this weekend. Joe will be traveling a lot at the end of the month (Montreal and Watkin’s Glenn) so he wanted to see his father in case it is his time. He’s in God’s mighty hands!
